Explaining the Blog:

| This is my typical view on the world. |
I have multiple websites and blogs already were I can spout
my opinions and point of views on both entertainment topics (The Word) and
sports (Basement Sports & Sports Say), which are the two most important
things to me. However, I don’t really have a place to say what I want about non-entertainment
or non-sports related things. Basically I’ve just been giving my opinion on things
that don’t pertain to those two topics on either Facebook statuses or Tweets
(or usually both at the same time). That obviously doesn’t give me a whole lot
of space to expand on some of the things that I want to say. This blog is where
I hope to bring those opinions, point of views and thoughts out and I hope that
it will give people I know something to not only read, enjoy and ponder on, but
also debate on. There’s nothing better in my opinion than a good, smart debate
on important topics.
I will go ahead and warn everybody from the beginning of
this blog. There will be times where you will agree with me on certain topics,
but there are also going to be times when you completely disagree with
everything that have to say on other topics. I can guarantee this, as I’ve
never known anybody who’s agreed with every single opinion or thought that I
have. If they did, it wouldn’t be quite as fun or interesting. This blog is
often going to be cynical, sarcastic, humorous, serious, offensive, angry and
depressing, sometimes all at the same time. This will perhaps be my most
dangerous blog yet, so reader beware and please don’t feel too afraid to
respond if something piques your interest.
*Writer's Note* While I hope to write as frequently as I can in this blog (whenever important topics arise),. it is admittedly my least priority after my websites, sports podcast, working 40 hours a week and living life in general.
Explaining the Name:
When I thought about creating this blog I wanted to call it “My 2 Cents.” Unsurprisingly, the name was already taken in the numeral form, as well as “My Two Cents.” I then tried “My Two (and 2) Sense,” which I thought would have been quite fitting, as well, but that was also previously taken. Basically the only thing I could come up with that wasn’t already used was “My Final 2 Cents,” which either 1) sounds like I’m completely broke (which probably isn’t too far from the truth) or 2) sounds like some sort of creepy suicide blog where I’m finally getting everything off of my chest before I end it all (which may not be too far from the truth)
